Dear Jack and Cathy,
I enjoy reading your updates and newsletters and your photos. I have retold the story of the ants at the crossroad bus stop to many people Jack. It is getting better with each telling, you may not even recognize it yourself. If Minnesota was a little closer, I might try to catch one of your speaking engagements. However, it is a bit far.
It seems that so many people: politicians, movie stars, rock stars, philanthropists etc. talk about what needs to be done in the world, what they are going to do, the dollars comitted; to a great round of applause and fanfare. And then there is your family, who give up thier comfortable life in America to work in Africa with no drumroll, banners or tv show. Totally unassuming, totally committed and totally effective. I’m totally impressed by your selfless committment to help out in a nation that needs a hand up. May you be blessed by God.
Sincerely jb
