OK – this post has nothing to do with Guinea pigs……but every good mission should have a code name and we kinda like this one.
We live and work in Guinea and people ask us all the time, “What do you need?” How can we help you?” Well the answer is easy, we need people! We need people who are willing to join us in our work here in Guinea. God knows we need people too and He has presented an opportunity to us and we need YOUR HELP to make it happen……
At the end of May, we will be joined in Guinea by a short-term team of 9 people. The team will help us hold health care clinics in and around Siguiri for two weeks. After two weeks, five members of the team will return to the US and four members of the team (our children Raymond & Hannah and Megan & Brendan ) would like to stay and continue to work with us at our clinic locations for 6 additional weeks. This would be an amazing blessing because we would be able to serve twice the number of people we normally would during that time.
Raymond & Hannah’s time with us is paid for but Megan & Brendan each need to raise $3,000 to cover air fare, visas, and transportation and living expenses in Guinea for 2 months – $6,000 total. Megan (age 23) and Brendan (age 20) are amazing young people who are willing to serve the people of Guinea this Summer and we would love to have them.
Would you please consider giving a donation to make this mission trip happen? We encourage you to redirect a gift you would normally give to us during the months of February & March to support Megan & Brendan’s upcoming work in Guinea. In order to purchase tickets and get visas, donations need to be received by the end of March. Their presence would be a blessing to the Maninka people AND to us. Any gift, no matter how small is appreciated.
