Why Give??

God has placed a burning desire in our hearts to reach the Maninka people of Guinea, West Africa. In order to be “sent” and implement the work of Community Health Evangelism (CHE) so that the Gospel message can be shared among the Maninka people, we need your support – prayers,  encouragement, and finances. We have been called as Network Supported Missionaries (NSM) which means that a network of fellow Christians (like you) will partner with us to provide necessary spiritual and financial support so that we can do the work that God has called us to do.

Many people whom we have talked with have mentioned that they give to missions through their regular offering at their church. Giving at your local congregation level is needed, but very little of that money goes to support international missions.  Below is a graphic that explains where the financial gifts given at the congregation level go:

So, 3 cents of every dollar go to support LCMS World Mission. If you have a desire to support the work among the Maninka people of West Africa, we encourage you to give directly to that work by:

  • clicking the “Give Now” tab to the right of the screen
  • mailing a gift to LCMS World Mission, 1333 S. Kirkwood Rd., St. Louis, MO 63122 with “Carlos Support” in the memo line
  • becoming an “LCMS Mission Sender”  by completing the support form in our “Newsletters/Prayer Cards” tab

100% of any gifts given as described above go directly to support our work in Guinea. We can’t be “sent” without your help!

We ask you to prayerfully consider becoming a “Partner in Mission” with us. Thank you!

Living in the Love of Jesus,

Jack, Cathy, Raymond, & Hannah
